Since 2006, Lola Torch has been a prominent figure in the Tucson burlesque scene. She began performing with Black Cherry Burlesque from its inception and eventually became the show's producer until its conclusion in early 2017. Afterward, Torch founded Tucson Libertine League, where she serves as the show's producer, host, and featured performer. She also created REVEAL, a series of workshops that teaches the art of burlesque and mentors aspiring performers.
Torch's passion for singing led her to form The Torchbearers, a cabaret-style band that brings to life the songs that have influenced her performances over the years. From classic tunes of the 20s-50s to vintage country and 60s soul, the group's repertoire is diverse and captivating.
Torch's love for cabaret initially brought her to the stage, but her fascination with burlesque has kept her coming back for more. Her performances are a spectacle to behold, featuring sultry singing, dazzling handcrafted costumes, and a range of acts that span from 1920s songstress to mystical David Bowie. In 2014, she even added aerial arts to her repertoire.
Beyond performing, Torch is a burlesque mentor, a fitness instructor at Floor Polish, and the owner and designer of Hi, Tiger!, a luxury lingerie line.
Her dedication to the art of burlesque and her multifaceted talents make her a true force to be reckoned with in the Tucson entertainment scene.
